Who we are

The Borrows Charitable Trust was established by Simon and Sally Borrows in 2011 as an independent grant-making family trust.

Our focus is primarily on smaller grassroots charities working to tackle disadvantage, poverty (and its causes) and social isolation.  The organisations we look to support work to improve quality of life, help build resilience, encourage re-engagement, promote fulfilment of potential, and positively impact life chances.

Our grant-making is proactive - we seek out charities, and invite them to apply.  Unsolicited applications will always be rejected.

The numerous charities we have supported span a hugh variety of sectors. Our grants have helped deliver projects which have improved peoples’ lives predominantly throughout the UK, but also in Kenya and Nepal.
