Who we are
The Borrows Charitable Trust was established by Simon and Sally Borrows in 2011 as an independent grant-making family trust. The numerous charities we have helped span a variety of sectors. Our focus is primarily on smaller grassroots charities working to tackle disadvantage, poverty (and its causes) and social isolation. The organisations we look to support work to improve quality of life, help build resilience, encourage re-engagement, promote fulfilment of potential, and positively impact life chances.
Our grant-making is proactive - we seek out charities, and invite them to apply. Unsolicited applications will always be rejected.
The numerous charities we have helped span a variety of sectors, and we are proud to have supported well in excess of 250 charities since the Trust was established.
These grants have supported charities delivering projects which have helped to improve peoples’ lives throughout predominantly the UK, but also in Africa and Nepal.
Our focus is mainly on charities operating locally to us in London and the south-east.
